We are proud of our company and would like to share the latest developments at Gib-San in our ongoing pursuit of quality and professional personnel development.
Ed Gibbs was selected on the "Dream Team CEO" short list in a North American search by the USA magazine Pool &Spa News for the Dream Team of pool industry executives. Ed was selected "as good as it gets" runner-up to the winner, who interestingly was another member of the Master Pools Guild, from California. Industry recognition just doesn't get any better than this. View the article (140KB)
Gib-San hosted Pentair Pool Products training for the Master Pools Guild members in the Ontario and northern New York state region. Pentair's technical team as well their President attended this two day session. The on-site technical training focused on their new integrated high-energy-efficiency system (Intelliflo pumps, heater, salt generator and remote pool management system). Gib-San and other members of the Master Pools Guild make a real commitment to training and being leaders in pool technology.
Gib-San adopts Microsoft's new CRM (Customer Relationship Management ) program to provide even better service. This information management technology shares client information more readily between departments to ensure better production and customer service coordination. At Gib-San we are continually investing in our quality management systems and people to enable us to service our clients better.
A newly created position of "Customer Service Representative" cuts service response time. Instead of taking a message for a service manager to return, Nicole Hudakoc, the CSR, will answer your call and create a work-order to meet your needs.
Ed Gibbs to be pool expert on the made-for-TV program Designing Spaces. This program titled "Enhancing your Outdoor Sanctuary: Planning your new pool" will air next spring on a wide selection of network and specialty channels including WE (Women's Entertainment) and TLC (The Learning Channel). Ed is representing the Master Pools Guild in the program.
As 2006 Chairman of the Master Pools Guild, Ed Gibbs is championing two key priorities: The first is to enhance technical interaction between members and vendors to further strengthen the lead Guild members have in pool construction technology. The second is building a stronger Guild brand with a more informative website and better consumer communications programs.
In keeping with its commitment to give back to the community, Gib-San recently met with Toronto's Mayor Miller and others at a Breakfast of Champions to assist in providing better youth activity facilities in the city. Gib-San donated desks, chairs and other supplies to the Scarborough Community Centre. Gib-San also sponsors several local youth sports programs.

The new pool equipment systems from Pentair are designed with the latest technology to make pool operations easier and to help you save on operating expenses. We've outlined only a few of the latest products they offer for your new pool or existing pool renovation.
a) IntelliFlo® High Performance Pumps
The whole pump concept is new, providing programmable variable speed technology and digital controls with push-button convenience for up to four different speeds (between 400 and 3450 rpms). The other benefits are impressive as well.
- It is quieter than a whisper - between 7 - 10 decibels
- It saves up to 30% or more electricity
Go to this Hydro Calculator link to calculate your savings.
It digitally communicates with IntelliTouch and Easy Touch control systems so you can control your complete backyard pool, spa and water feature systems.
b) New Cartridge filter for clearer water
Pentair's new Quad D.E. Filter gives better water clarity because the cartridge filters trap particles a fraction of the size sand filters do. Three cleaning options help maintain it in optimal performance: backwashing while still assembled; rinsing-in-place to drain; removing cartridges for rinsing.
c) IntelliChlor® Generator - a salt water sanitation system.
This gives you the convenience of automatic chlorine generation from table salt that is recycled continuously to reduce maintenance requirements. Just pick one of five settings on theEasyTouch controller to select the sanitation levels you require.
d) EasyTouch® Control System
This controller can be programmed for your weekly schedule to manually turn "on/off" your pool, spa or water feature pumps, the heater and even lights in or around the pool - and to do it remotely from in the house or on your lounge chair.
Total Control of your pool - in the palm of your hand!
The Jandy PDA Pool Digital Assistant, brings the power and flexibility of a wireless control system to the palm of your hand. Because of its ease of installation without hardwiring, this is ideal for a retrofit/renovation. Imagine never getting out of the pool or spa to adjust the temperature, turn on a jet or waterfall. Wherever you are, virtually every pool and spa function can be performed from the Jandy Wireless PDA.
Check out these features:
- Ultra compact, wireless, water resistant handheld
- 500 ft. range of operation without line of sight
