.Custom pool builder attains ISO Quality Standards Registration"
Gib-San Pools Ltd. were the first to accomplish what no other residential pool builder in the world had done. In 2005 we became registered for the ISO-9001 Quality System Standard – recognized globally as the best quality management system in the world. When asked why Gib-San made this commitment, Ed Gibbs, President, said, "We wanted to raise the bar of customer satisfaction and excellence in products and services for both our company and the industry. We like being industry leaders. It has been a three year commitment to refine our policies, procedures and practices to the ISO standard. Our biggest benefit to date has been an even greater focus on being a customer-satisfaction-driven company with a measurement system that ensures we deliver our best quality and service all the time." Establishing standards that would stand-up to scrutiny in such a diverse environment was the biggest challenge that Gib-San faced . Every job is different - incorporating anything from extensive landscaping to cascading waterfalls, fountains, patios, outdoor kitchens, gazebos, and art forms. From the co-ordination of materials to the impact that the weather has on a project, the ISO system has already shown how set-procedures can maintain organization in a fluid and complex situation. The International Organization for Standardization is headquartered in Geneva Switzerland. This international organization is charged with the mandate of developing and promoting methodology for standardization in quality management systems and environmental, safety and health systems as well. To adhere to the system concept, a company establishes certain procedures that ensure certain quality results which they promise to deliver. Global manufacturing trading partners have come to rely on this system for quality assurance. Being ISO 9001 Registered means that Gib-San's quality management system has been audited by a 3rd party registration body, who have declared that the system has met the demanding requirements of the ISO 9001 standard and continues to do so through periodic surveillance audits.

Gib-San Pools is the first pool company in the world to have achieved this certification. This comes less than a year after Gib-San became the first pool company in the world to achieve ISO9001:2000 certification. OHSAS 18001 covers all aspects of occupational health and safety management. It ensures that systems and controls are in place to manage our workplaces so they are safe for our staff, customers and the public.
